When you use Havens in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you will ensure certain heroes get a nice XP boost in Friendship. That is, if you use the Haven correctly. There are ways this can go completely wrong. If so, you risk wasting your Haven. Our guide is here to help you use Havens properly so you can take the most advantage of it. We’ll also show you where you can locate all of the Havens.
How to Use Havens in Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Havens are described as scenic points of interest. They are much like Hangouts, in which you choose a specific Hero to be with for a brief period doing a certain activity. This will give that Hero Friendship XP at the end of the activity.
When you use a Haven in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you have 3 chances to choose from certain dialogue options. If you choose the best response, you get 4 Friendship XP. An acceptable response nets you 2 Friendship XP, while the worst response leaves you with nothing.
If the Hero loves the activity you chose, you will get 7 Friendship XP. For Heroes that just liked the activity, you will gain 5 Friendship XP. If a Hero dislikes the Haven, you’re left with no XP boost.
You can also bring gifts with you to Havens. This way, you have more chances of boosting the Friendship XP gained at the end.
Here is a list of the Haven activities that can pop up in Marvel’s Midnight Suns:
- Birdwatching
- Fishing
- Meditation
- Mushroom Picking
- Painting
- Picnic

An important note about Havens in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is that they are only used ONCE per playthrough. Also, each Hero can only visit a Haven ONCE in a playthrough.
Meaning, when you choose a Hero for one Haven, they cannot be chosen for another one. Alongside that, the Haven you chose is now off-limits to any other Hero.
So, choose your Hero and your Haven wisely if you want to get the highest Friendship XP possible. A Hero should love the activity offered in the Haven. If they dislike it, you’ve thrown that Haven away, as you won’t get the extra XP.
For instance, Captain Marvel and Nico Minoru dislike Fishing. Taking them to a Haven in Marvel’s Midnight Suns with a Fishing activity is worthless. Instead, take them to activities like Picnicking and Birdwatching.
Wolverine and Ghost Rider are certainly not the types to like Meditation, but they can love Fishing. Just keep in mind the Hero you want to boost in terms of Friendship and understand what they like.
Furthermore, you should have some gifts handy for that specific Hero before you use the Haven so you can get more bonus XP.
Haven Locations in Marvel’s Midnight Suns
There are 15 Haven locations on the map. The names are randomly generated, but we’ve highlighted on the map below where you can find them all. Take note that some locations may require you to destroy some rocks that block the path first to find the Haven.
The Havens look like blue energy around the Abbey grounds. You can’t miss them once you are nearby. Simply interact with them to unlock the Haven. Consider gathering as many Havens as possible in Marvel’s Midnight Suns before using them. This way, you’ll know who the best Hero is to use for it.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available on PC, PS5, and PS4 systems and Xbox Series X|S and One systems.
