A woman in Baltimore, Maryland, was in the labor and delivery room at a local hospital and was seriously scared by a stranger who, according to her, was standing over her in the dark at 2 a.m. Left traumatized, she is now seeking a lawyer.
The woman in question is Kemani A’laya. She is a family content creator who, alongside her wife MeeMee, welcomed their firstborn. Often sharing lifestyle vlogs and clips, this time around, the content was not lighthearted at all. The video attached above went viral, garnering 402,200 views, 24,900 likes, and more than 500 comments.
Kemani, the one recording at the Maryland hospital, showed MeeMee, still pregnant, talking with someone over the phone. The incident briefly mentioned above had just occurred, and both women were looking for answers.
‘All I Could Do Was Scream’
According to Kemani, someone had snuck into the labor and delivery room at around 2 a.m. Feeling she was in danger, she woke up and saw someone standing over her in the dark. She wrote in the clip’s description, “All I could do was scream to the top of my lungs.”
Kemani and MeeMee were talking to a nurse who entered the room shortly after the incident happened. Believing the stranger was a doula, MeeMee tried to initially reassure her wife that she had nothing to worry about. However, that was not the case, and the nurse explained that they would have known if a doula entered the room, as they carry a pass and their ID.
The nurse apologized profusely for the very uncomfortable moment and promised she would get to the bottom of it. Kemani, meanwhile, believed someone got hold of her location based on her previous clips, which led to the scary moment.

Currently, Kemani and MeeMee are looking to secure a lawyer to hold the stranger accountable. The person in question was not identified.
