Massachusetts Republicans Annoyed By Impeach Trump Protest: ‘Owning the libs’

As President Trump’s approval ratings continue to sink due to policy choices, the Iran war, heavy SNAP restrictions, and more, Massachusetts Republicans are growing weary of the “impeachment fever” gripping the state’s liberal strongholds. Boston is a deep-blue pocket, and locals are amplifying calls for the President’s removal. Now they are taking to highway protests, and calling for his impeachment, while conservatives are annoyed and over the theatrics.

93S – Milton – lots of honks

In the Boston Reddit thread, a post by user washu234 shared a snapshot of a highway in Milton that used to be home to a lot of pro-MAGA demonstrators in years past, now dominated by Democrats with a huge sign calling for Trump’s removal from office. The sign reads “Impeach this madman! Honk.“

In the thread, a lot of folks were celebrating the protest and talking about more arriving in the next few weeks, while some Republicans were annoyed by the showcase and quickly pointed out strong pockets of Trump and MAGA presence across Massachusetts, and warned that it’s not all liberal all the time. Here are some of the back-and-forths to be had in the post. The recent war on Iran and increasing gas prices hasn’t done Trump any favors with the locals either.

“Gotta remember you only hear the horns. Not the people not honking.”

“Tiny toy cars and owning the libs… you’re absolutely precious”

“Really? Cause i dont think conservatives have or would spend a beautiful Wednesday evening like this standing on a bridge protesting”

“Now we get to add “genocidal” to “Lying, hate-mongering, criminal, pedophile madman.”

The rhetoric isn’t stopping anytime soon. Republican pressure to vote out Governor Healey, on the heels of some of her housing scandals and the amount of pandering she does, has given conservatives hope, although a red wave in Massachusetts seems unlikely anytime soon.
