A woman posted a video to the social media platform TikTok that featured herself being locked in a doctor’s office in Massachusetts after they allegedly forgot her during her appointment. She even tried the front door to find that it was locked from the outside.

The video certainly sparked conversations concerning the doctor’s office itself and the staff who were present on that day. Others urged her to call 911 immediately, while plenty of viewers simply begged for an update on how she eventually escaped.

The video above features the woman who was locked in the doctor’s office as she documents her visit. She begins by saying that no one has come to check on her after she was called in for her appointment, and it was thirteen minutes past the closing time.

Finally, she decides to step out of the room and call out to staff members, only to find out that she was the only one there. Upon checking other rooms and eventually the front door, she found that she was also locked inside the practice. Unlike some office doors that lead to the outside, it doesn’t appear to have a turn lock for those who are inside.

At no point does she mention the name of the office or why she was there, though judging by the atmosphere, it appears to be a private practice of sorts. It was also not made clear how she was checked in for the appointment. Regardless, her being locked inside poses a serious threat to both her personal safety and the safety of the office.

One of the comments in the reply section also made not of this, writing, “Sounds like a hipaa violation. You have been left unattended in an office with medical records that are not locked behind 2 sets of locks.“

This particular video is the last one posted by the original poster, and an update on the situation has not been revealed.

Comments and Reactions Towards Massachusetts Woman Reportedly Being Locked in Doctor’s Office

Other commenters were just as shocked as she was, with many offering advice and next steps. One of the top-liked comments reads, “I would honestly report the office. Because what do you mean you aren’t cleaning or checking rooms before close.“

Another comment noted the fact that no one came to clean the rooms either, writing, “Kinda gross that the medical assistant isn’t cleaning all the rooms before leaving. When I worked in an outpatient facility, the last thing I did before clocking out was clean each room with sani wipes including both handles of each door. Then every room got checked too.“

Until an update is provided, viewers will likely continue wondering how an entire medical practice allegedly forgot about a patient after closing time. As of now, the name of the office has not been released, and no official statement regarding the incident has been made public.
