Prince Harry is set to celebrate his milestone 40th birthday in September. However, it may not be the fun event that he was hoping for. The Duke of Sussex is said to be having his big blowout birthday bash plans crushed by his wife, Meghan Markle. The Duchess reportedly doesn’t want her husband to act like a fool while celebrating his big day.
Closer reports that Prince Harry originally planned to return to the UK so that he could celebrate his birthday in style with some of his longtime friends. However, Meghan Markle wasn’t on board with that plan and forced him to cancel the plans for his big bash.

“Harry was very keen to go to the UK and party with his friends, and he still would if Meghan let him, but she’s saying absolutely not. For one thing, it’s a bad look for their brand. They’re hoping to hang out with the crème of society, with the Hollywood and political elite, so the idea of him knocking shots and acting like a fool with his pals in Mykonos or wherever is just the worst possible idea,” an insider tells the outlet.
Meanwhile, Harry is said to be upset about having to blow off his friends. However, he simply can’t justify getting wild like he did in his younger days. These days, his focus is on Meghan and their two children. “On top of that, it’s a security risk that he simply doesn’t need to take.”
As for Meghan joining the party in the UK, that’s out of the question. Harry is refusing to bring his wife and kids to his home country as long as he believes there are security threats. Until he can obtain the security that he believes he needs to keep his family safe, the wife and kids will stay at home whenever he ventures across the pond.
Instead of the big party he originally planned, Prince Harry is said to be spending his 40th birthday at home. He and Meghan Markle will have a quiet evening to mark the beginning of the next decade of his life.
