Meghan Markle knows she’s privileged when it comes to a lot of things in her life, including her wealth. The Duchess of Sussex recently opened up about her mindset when it comes to money. Meghan, who married Prince Harry in 2018, says that women are taught not to talk about their finances, which creates a warped mentality surrounding money. Unfortunately, the same is true for Meghan. Despite her station in life, she says that she still struggles with her money mindset.
During Meghan Markle’s most recent episode of the Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, she spoke with Sara Blakely. The two women discussed financial issues, and the former Suits star even confessed that she deals with a lot of guilt when it comes to her lavish lifestyle.
For the record, Meghan and Prince Harry have a combined net worth of $60 million. While she knows they are fortunate, she admits she still feels like she’ll never have enough.
“There’s lots of guilt mentality surrounding having a lot. And at the same time, there’s a scarcity mindset,” Meghan explained. “It’s easy to attach to [the idea] of, like, ‘I’ll never have enough,’” the Duchess of Sussex stated, adding that she would “love to have” a healthier mindset about money.
Meghan Markle Gets Candid About Money Matters

Many can’t relate to Meghan Markle’s comments about money. She and Harry have often grabbed attention for their lifestyle, which includes living in a $14 million mansion in California, starting multiple business ventures, taking private jets, and inheriting millions from famous royal family members.
However, Page Six reports that Harry and Meghan have become known for taking advantage of their friends and family’s amenities, such as private planes, extravagant homes, and fun toys. “[They] certainly don’t like to spend their own money,” one insider dished. “It’s always other people’s money.”
Of course, many fans opted to weigh in on Meghan’s comments following her podcast confession.
“Meghan Markle doesn’t feel guilty for anything at all. Much less for having far less money than she believes she deserves. And in reality, SHE doesn’t have any real money. ALL the money she has is a result of the fame and mystique of the British Royal Family,” one person commented.
“She is greedy,” another stated.
“Which world is this woman living in ? Victorian times? Women have been out earning many men, very successful and running companies, households and being successful in all spheres of lives,” a third comment read.
It seems that Meghan Markle’s comments about money didn’t go over well with many online. However, she spoke out on a situation that she deals with in her daily life, and those who look to the Duchess of Sussex as a mentor likely appreciated the honesty.
