Rumors about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s marriage being on shaky ground aren’t anything new. However, to get her husband, the public, and the media’s attention and sympathy, the Duchess of Sussex has pulled out the ‘suicide card.’ Now, suicide is no trivial matter, but many fans feel that With Love, Meghan hostess is being insincere. She’s instead simply attempting to push a fake narrative because of Harry’s future plans to reset his relationship with King Charles and the rest of the Royal Family.
Many believe that because Meghan Markle’s endeavors to become an A-lister or successful businesswoman haven’t come to fruition, Prince Harry is looking back to the UK as a potential option for his future. After all, it’s not like he or his wife is a popular figure in the American eye. However, with this recent visit to the UK and the meetup with King Charles, Harry is confident that this was the first step in regaining his connection to the Palace, and in turn, his life as a Royal. On the other hand, Meghan Markle is more interested in just the benefits of royalty, but does not want any part in getting back into the royal fold.
As a result of all this royal reconciliation talk and Harry’s claims of taking his children to the UK soon, Meghan Markle feels “threatened and triggered” in regard to her livelihood in Montecito. During her past interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan described how she “didn’t want to be alive anymore” when she was doing her duties as a working royal. And now, a Radar Online source claims that she might be going back to these suicidal thoughts and depressive state that she expressed years ago. “Harry’s renewed closeness with his family has really unsettled Meghan,” the source states, pointing out how her lifestyle could be ‘in danger’ with Harry putting his plans of royal reconciliation into action.
Yet, many online commenters feel that she is using her PR to farm sympathy from the media and her husband, and that this whole “suicidal thoughts” revelation is a farce. “Threatening her husband through Radar Online. How classy,” remarks one Reddit user. Others commented on how it’s disgusting that she would weaponize or glamorize suicide as a means to get her way. Again, suicide is a very serious matter, and the victim should get help as soon as possible. But seeing how Meghan Markle has used this playing card before, on top of her poor reputation of being an honorable ex-royal, few will likely take her seriously.
