Konami has revealed they are working to develop new content for Metal Gear Online. Some of this content will include new maps and a new mode.
“New DLC planned for MGO, including new maps, Survival, and more! Further details to come,” Konami wrote on Twitter. This wouldn’t be the first time that Survival has been in a version of Metal Gear Online. The mode was in previous iterations of Online.
Konami has also pushed out Patch 1.02 that makes it easier for players to level up. There have also been a few weapon changes. The shotguns’ knockback range has been increased and the draw speed of the machine guns has been reduced.
Players, being blinded by their own flash grenade if they aren’t looking at the explosion, finally have some good news. Konami has made changes to the way the explosion works.
“In version 1.01, even if you are not facing the point of the explosion you can find yourself temporarily blinded due to the flash, however in Ver. 1.02 as long as you are facing away from the explosion, you will not be affected,” Konami said.
Looking ahead, Konami is also wanting to make changes to the character revive system.
“In previous MGO titles, it took a little more effort than a single kick to wake up your knocked out allies,” Konami said. “Listening to player feedback, we’re looking into requiring that extra effort to wake up your allies, so that there is greater risk when you stick your neck out to revive your friends.”
More details about the extra content will be announced at a later date.
