A Michigan woman is facing the consequences of confronting a judge in court! The woman was a defendant at a family court hearing to determine whether she gave her baby daddy parenting time. During the proceeding, she verbally attacked the judge with degrading remarks, but not before instant karma was served.
In a TikTok clip, Judge Brian K. Kirkham asked the child’s father if he was getting enough parenting time. He replied, “No, because she’s refusing to let me see them.” His attorney further questioned if he tried to get his kids and involved the police in his attempts.
The dad confirmed he had involved the authorities, but it was unsuccessful. Explaining what happened when the police visited the mom, he told the judge, “She slammed the door in their face, denied them, and just told them no.” In response, the woman defended herself, saying she only protected her children.
After determining the matter, the judge reached a verdict to put the woman behind bars. While he read out the reason for his decision, the mom could be heard defending herself in the background. However, Kirkham corrected her and told her not to interfere, as she had used her speaking time.
“The court will sentence you to 30 days in jail with the Calhoun County Sheriff,” the judge pronounced. He added that she would be under the sheriff’s care until the kids are given to their dad and she pays the previously ordered $1000.
On hearing the verdict, the mom flared up at the judge, yelling, “Are you serious, who’s sucking whose d–ck around here?” In response to the disrespectful outburst from the mom, the judge slammed her with additional days in jail.“Another 30 days for contempt of court,” stated the judge. You’re in jail for 60 days now.”
The video went mainstream, and netizens called the woman out on her actions towards the judge. One user expressed that the woman was generally uncouth, writing, “That’s how she speaks in COURT! Imagine what the kids hear, man…”
A second user questioned, “I mean, what would make her say that phrase to a judge?? Of all things??”
Another netizen commented, “If she can do that in court, imagine outside court,” while another wanted more jail time for her. Other users believed the kids would be safe with the dad.
This Michigan Karen now faces sixty days behind bars, which would perhaps serve as a lesson to any Karen to keep disrespectful characters out of the court.
