A controversial leftist who came under fire a few months ago for saying Iran should capture the U.S. Air Force airman who was missing at the time and use him as leverage against the United States is facing backlash again. The Michigan woman, who has reportedly been identified as Melissa Halverson and uses the TikTok handle @mellymama5, recently shared a graphic birthday message for President Donald Trump, who turned 80 on Sunday.
In the video posted on TikTok, she said, “I thought I’d take a minute to make my own birthday wish for the President of the United States today on his birthday. May you trip and fall down the stairs at your UFC fight… Then proceed to have a heart attack as well as a stroke and seize out on the floor on live TV. I wish that for you today. I hope tomorrow the first thing I hear when I wake up is you didn’t wake up.”
Halverson then ended the video with a peace sign.
The clip has since spread across social media, including X, where many netizens said they were shocked by what Halverson had to say. “I hated when Biden was in the White House but I NEVER wished he would die,” one X user wrote. Another remarked, “Such sick thoughts. Get some help please.” A third commented, “I can’t imagine being so miserable that I could spew this vitriol.”
Someone else said, “You need mental health intervention. YDS is occupying too much space in your head. GO MAGA! Go President Trump.” A different netizen chimed in, “Crazy how dems always call for violence on people trying to unite the country.”
A few also warned that wishing harm on others often backfires. “Karma tends to bless those that bless others. When you wish bad things on people you may not care for. It usually comes back unto you,” one person wrote.
Despite the backlash Halverson has received for the video, the post remains up on her TikTok account. Meanwhile, Trump celebrated his 80th birthday by hosting a UFC event on the White House South Lawn, where he was joined by family members and other guests, CNN reports.
