Netflix has greenlit Enola Holmes 3, bringing another case for Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. Now, with the conclusion of the WGA strike, a script is being written.
The news comes slightly over a year after the second film, which hit the streaming service on November 4, 2022. It followed the titled character on her first case as a detective-for-hire. The case of a missing girl got dangerous as she found herself in a conspiracy theory. So, with the help of friends and her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill), she could solve the mystery.
Millie Bobby Brown Returns to Netflix for Enola Holmes 3
The head of Netflix’s film division, Scott Stuber, confirmed that Enola Holmes 3 is coming with Millie Bobby Brown in an interview with Collider. Stuber talked about the opportunity to “extend” the IP of Sherlock Holmes by focusing on his sister.
The Holmes IP is weirdly elastic. Obviously, Warner Bros. did an incredible job with Downey and Jude Law, so this idea that we can extend that IP with her is exciting. So, we’re working once again on a screenplay to try to get that.

Plenty of open territory is there to explore for what’s next for the cast of the third installment of the film series. Her detective has a new office in London. Meanwhile, her brother has a new roommate with Dr. John Watson (Himesh Patel), and his enemy Moriarty (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) has escaped from the police.
No release window has been set for the film. While some work will be done with the script writing, any SAG-AFTRA members attached will not be able to work as of writing. The union has been unable to form a proper deal, largely due to a focus on AI from the AMPTP.
