Deep Dark biome and Ancient City, the spooky underground ruins often guarded by the deadly Warden, were added with Minecraft 1.19 Wild Update. Disregarding the danger, Minecraft players would often want to explore this area for its bountiful resources. As usual, we have listed some of the best Ancient City seeds for the Minecraft 1.19 update for December 2022, for both the Bedrock and Java Edition.
1. Taiga Sinkhole with Ancient City Seed
- Seed: 121825627925
This month’s Ancient City seed list starts with a very scenic entry from u/crackedMagnet. Just next to the spawn location, you can find these mesmerizing Taiga mountains that have a huge sinkhole lake. Of course, it has an Ancient City below it. The screenshot is from Java Edition, and it somewhat works with Bedrock — but the sinkhole will be substantially smaller on Bedrock.
2. Badlands Village with an Ancient City Seed
- Seed: 333148945457819
In this Java 1.19 seed from u/FinancialDiplomat, there’s a Badlands biome surrounded by multiple Stony Mountain Peaks, all with their own Ancient City below, and villages evenly distributed around it. In the Caves, you can easily mine Ores, Iron, and Emeralds. The spot and the surrounding six Ancient Cities are located somewhere around X:1,344 Z:1,648.
3. Stronghold Below Ancient City Seed
- Seed: 76517363
The finder, u/bioeris, claimed that in this December 2022 Minecraft Java 1.19 seed there’s a Stronghold that spawns just below an Ancient City. Strongholds do spawn underground, but they usually got overwritten by other structures like Ocean Monuments, Mineshafts, and Ancient Cities. Head to X:985.5 Y:-36.1 Z:-957.5 coordinates to find this weird phenomenon.
4. Survival Seed with an Ancient City
- Seed: 234111878406510640
From u/halaayman, This survival Java seed features a huge Cave with four unique biomes mashed together and an Ancient City around 150 Blocks from the spawn point. There are also a lot of Diamonds in the cave.
5. Mountains and Ancient City Seed
- Seed: 8934640148845443804
In this Bedrock 1.19 seed from u/alividlife, you can experience picturesque mountains with varying biomes with snaking rivers and the Lush Caves from Y:60. The Ancient City is also conveniently located right under with barely any digging needed.
6. Ancient City and a Little Bit of Everything Seed
- Seed: 1681439552
Another Java 1.19 seed from u/FinancialDiplomat. This is a pretty expansive seed, featuring all biomes, four Mansions, an Ancient City (X:392 Y:-51 Z:-1,096) below the closest Mansion that has Lush Caves around it, a Nether with two Bastions and Fortresses, a Stronghold below a Pillager Outpost (X: 336 Z:144), and a Village with a spacious Dripstone cave nearby. I know, right? It does sound pretty crazy.
7. Stronghold Above an Ancient City Seed
- Seed: 2652627906652504065
Last but not least, from u/Puggydougy2 comes a pretty special Bedrock 1.19 seed. This one generates a Stronghold above an Ancient City (the opposite of the one before, I guess). And that’s not all, there’s also a Mineshaft. And they’re all generated below a Village on a Flower Field hill. As an extra note, apparently the End Portal also spawns directly above the center of the Ancient City. Interesting coincidence… or is it?
