During such a heated and emotionally charged period, some expected ICE to act with greater caution and restraint in Minnesota. Instead, more accounts have emerged alleging increasingly aggressive behavior by ICE agents in the state. One of the most disturbing incidents involves a Minnesota Marine Veteran who says she was targeted while documenting ICE activity.
According to the Marine Veteran, she and several friends were following ICE agents from a distance, recording their actions in public. She says they did not interfere and believed they were acting within their rights. That situation, she claims, escalated rapidly once ICE agents realized they were being followed.
The Minnesota Marine Veteran alleges that ICE agents suddenly stopped their vehicle in the road and attempted to ram her car. She says agents smashed her window, yanked her out by the neck, and threw her to the ground. The Marine Veteran says she was stomped on, had her face pushed into the pavement, and was physically restrained in a way she describes as excessive and unprovoked. She also claims agents attempted to twist her ankle as she lay on the ground.
Beyond the physical encounter, the Minnesota Marine Veteran says the verbal abuse she endured was just as alarming. She claims the ICE agents called her derogatory names and repeatedly referred to her as “it.” According to her account, one agent made a chilling remark referencing Renee Good, telling her she should have “learned her lesson” after what happened to Renee. The Marine Veteran says the agent went further, referring to the deceased woman using a slur while speaking about her death.
Following the incident, the Minnesota Marine Veteran issued a warning to the public, saying she believes ICE agents do not care about the law and are motivated by intimidation and fear. She compared their behavior to authoritarian forces and said their goal was to silence and terrify anyone who questioned them.
The interviewer covering the incident also spoke with other protesters in the area. One couple said they had their own encounter with ICE agents, claiming their car window was broken and that they were arrested after attempting to document an operation. Their account added to concerns that the Marine Veteran’s experience was not isolated.
Online reaction was swift and intense. Many users expressed outrage over what they said happened to the Minnesota Marine Veteran. “MAGA sure is a nasty bunch,” one user wrote.
