Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Star Path is one of the game’s most notable features, and it’s a great way for players to get their hands on exclusive items, ranging from theme park merch to Disney movie props. However, given the limited-time, sometimes seasonal nature of the Star Paths, it can be easy to miss out on certain rewards if you don’t earn enough Moonstones in time or decide to skip out on a Star Path. Now, Disney Dreamlight Valley has officially added several Star Path rewards to the Premium Shop, available for a limited time – but is that a good thing?
Disney Dreamlight Valley Adds “Up” Themed Rewards to Premium Shop
Back when Disney Dreamlight Valley launched in 2022, its very first Star Path was themed after the movie Up (2009). Rewards included the “Adventure Is Out There!” Balloon Basket and a backpack themed after Russel’s Junior Wilderness Explorer pack, among others, but like all Star Paths, it was eventually retired after its season had passed. If you missed out on getting any of these rewards, you would have been out of luck had Disney Dreamlight Valley not added some of the Star Path rewards back into the Premium Shop.
The “Adventure Is Out There!” Balloon Basket and Junior Wilderness Explorer Backpack are now available in Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Item Shop, available through the menu. The Balloon Basket and Backpack will cost you 1,500 Moonstones and 1,750 Moonstones, respectively, and will be available until the shop refreshes its stock in 5 days, giving players a chance to buy the items they missed out on the Up Star Path first time around.
Many fans of the game are excited to see the old items brought back to the shop, but not everyone’s happy. Some fans claim that having the ability to buy Star Path rewards makes the Star Paths less special and the rewards less exclusive. Other fans are pleased about the items returning but unhappy with the price tags attached to them, citing that 1,500 Moonstones is half the cost of an entire Star Path worth of rewards. Some have suggested that the high price tag of the Star Path rewards is Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s solution to keep the items exclusive.
Ultimately, there’s no way to know if the new system will work out long-term, but it seems to be here to stay. Ideally, it’ll function as a sort of middle ground: players who want to follow the Star Paths as they happen can still do so, but if they miss a particular reward and it’s worth the price tag, they can go to the Item Shop to get it.
