If you thought you were a huge Swiftie, think again. A Missouri couple just proved they’re the biggest Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce fans by naming their baby after the singer and NFL star. According to Liberty Hospital, the new parents gave their daughter the moniker Kelce Taylor. While many social media users think it’s adorable, not everyone is on board with the name. I mean, there’s always the possibility that Taylor and Travis will break up. After all, they’re not married or even engaged yet.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Inspire Baby Name
Whatever happens now, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love will forever be immortalized with Kelce Taylor’s name. Liberty Hospital announced her birth by sharing a photo of the newborn on Instagram. The picture shows Kelce Taylor sleeping in a hospital bed. She’s wrapped up in a blanket and has a yellow bow on her head. Beside her is a Kansas City Chiefs jersey with Kelce’s name on it. Meanwhile, on top of her is a nametag reading Kelce Taylor. The piece of paper features a drawing of a pair of cowboy boots, which appear to be a reference to Swift.
“We are so excited to announce the birth of the youngest Swiftie and newest member of the @chiefs Red Kingdom!! ❤️,” the hospital wrote. “Kelce Taylor is officially in her newborn era 🍼 .”
Are They Endgame?
Of course, the caption is a reference to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. The trek began in March 2023 and officially wrapped up in December 2024. After nearly two years of being on the road, Swift performed 149 shows in 51 cities. The concerts were life-changing for the pop star in more ways than one. Apart from being her biggest tour of her career, the trek was monumental because it introduced Swift to her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The football player attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, in July 2023. He tried to meet the singer and give him his phone number before her concert. After being unable to do so, Kelce told the story about his failed attempt to woo Swift on his New Heights podcast. Swift eventually heard about it and contacted Kelce. The pair then met up and began dating. Two years later, they’re still going strong.
Since they’ve been together for some time, many fans think Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will get engaged. Swifties are rooting so hard for them, and it seems like the Missouri couple is, too. However, since there’s always the possibility that Swift and Kelce could call it quits, fans are worried the Missouri couple may have made a mistake by naming their child after them. “What happens if they break up?” one person asked after hearing about Kelce Taylor’s birth. “Your baby would be named after a stranger’s failed relationship,” read another comment.
