A man in O’Fallon, Missouri, saw that his neighbors were working on their lawn and decided to emulate them. In a radically different and unsophisticated approach, the man, shirtless, began mowing his lawn. As he did, all the recently cut grass hit him directly in his bare stomach and chest, leading to a very viral moment.
The unique lawn mowing technique was shared online by C&T Properties, run by Tom and Chad. The pair offer home improvement services and often vlog their work. The clip attached above, which features their neighbor, Charlie, went viral. It garnered 2.1 million views, 137,400 likes, and more than 4,700 comments.
Tom and Chad were back at their Missouri rental and began working on their yard, according to the clip’s description. Apparently, their initiative was so inspiring that Charlie decided to do exactly that with his own lawn. Therefore, he brought out his lawnmower to do the job.
However, his lawnmower was out of the ordinary. Not only was it missing a bag to catch all the cut grass, but also its flap was being held open by a brick, for some reason. Charlie, embracing his destiny, began mowing his lawn and had every single bit of freshly-cut grass fly directly at his bare belly, chest, and face. Fortunately, he was wearing glasses, so his eyes were safe.
Charlie didn’t flinch, and the grass was barely an inconvenience to him. He took the time to take a selfie, with grass still on him, and C&T Properties even shared his lawnmowing technique from a different angle in a follow-up clip.
Missouri Reacts
Viewers marveled at Charlie’s abilities and resilience. One said, “To mow the lawn, you must become the lawn.” Another one commented, “That’s someone you don’t want to mess with.” A third one added, “This is a man who will do anything to stay out of the house when his wife is home.”
Others, while still in a lighthearted manner, raised some safety questions regarding his mowing. One wrote, “One rock and it’s over…” Another one said, “He’s about to be itchy as a [expletive].”
Chad and Tom have since set up a GoFundMe to help support Charlie. According to them, his A/C isn’t working, and there are holes in his roof. They called him the “most kind, caring, and thoughtful” person they have ever met.
