Arthur Morgan’s story in Red Dead Redemption 2 ended poignantly, but if you thought the bitter-sweet climax was the end of the single-player experience, think again. Modders have decided to add new single-player story content to the game that is completely original.
The mod is called Life of Crime, and it is not based on the story designed by Rockstar games. The new mod adds the ability to make your very own original playable character, as well as never-before-seen heists and missions.
The creator of the mod CruelMasterMC had this to say about his mod:
“The whole point of the mod is to play as a completely NEW character with all of your weapons and money being removed that is designed by you (using mp male or female), NOT to play as Arthur Morgan. This is the whole point of the mod.
And while you play in the game you can earn all of the weapons by buying them from a gunsmith or finding them anywhere on the map, and earn more money from doing missions and such to pay for these things and many more things I plan on adding.”
The mod seems to be an ever-developing addition; it has been around for a while but only used to be a heist. But now, the creator is pushing the envelope and trying to make this an original experience. The planned content will add new heists as well as a bounty hunting mode.
Red Dead 2 Slowing Down
Rockstar announced that it does not plan on adding more content to Red Dead 2, so this mod was a much-needed addition to the game, especially when Arthur Morgan’s story comes to a close.
With the funeral event already finished, Rockstar plans to shift its focus to GTA 6 and possibly other projects. The plans to remake the first Red Dead game have been shelved, so we will have to wait and see what the company is working on.
