Whoever is in charge of NetherRealm Studios’ PR department has been making all the right choices recently. All the little reveals and tidbits that have been trickling down the grapevine and into our bloodthirsty hearts has culminated in what is probably one of the most entertaining launch trailers I’ve ever seen.

Shavo Odadjian, bassist of System of a Down, directed this gore soaked trailer to the tune of the band’s 2001 hit, “Chop Suey!” Trust me when I say that it hits all of the right notes. Check it out after the break.

Mortal Kombat X launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 14th.
