MultiVersus isn’t just a platform fighter in every sense of the genre, but it’s a multi-platform fighter in every sense of that word. Whether you’re gaming on a PC or rocking it with a TV on a controller, you have plenty of ways to play the game alongside playing with friends on various platforms. With many platforms to play a game like MultiVersus, some may be wondering if you can soon play it on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo’s critically acclaimed handheld device. If you’re one of these people, there is no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll answer if MultiVersus is coming to Nintendo Switch!
Is MultiVersus Coming to Nintendo Switch?
The short answer is that we simply don’t know when or if the game will come to Nintendo Switch. The team at Player First Games has been tight-lipped on the subject, excluding one tweet from co-founder Tony Huynh saying the following:
I understand, it’s a hard decision for us not to launch on the switch, but we have limited resources and had to pick where to use those resources in the short-term. We want to enable as many players as possible to play and enjoy our game.”
With this in mind, it leaves the answer to simply “maybe”. It could very well come out in the future once the team gets their bearings with the current build and have the ability to allocate those resources, but right now they’re naturally going to be more concerned with ensuring the Open Beta goes as smoothly as possible. Regardless, you can be sure that once the team announces any potential news about the port to Switch or when that could happen, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
