MultiVersus is coming up on its Season 1 update fairly soon (albeit having been delayed from tomorrow to an unspecified date) and with that, it means players are grinding out battle pass levels to complete it before the new season. With plenty of rewards to claim by simply completing a number of challenges and playing the game, you’re likely to earn more than enough battle pass XP as an active player. One way of earning XP is through the Rested XP system, though the way it functions can be a bit confusing. If you’re confused yourself, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll explain what Rested XP is in MultiVersus!
What is Rested XP in MultiVersus?
When playing games, you may notice you’re earning this Battle Pass XP called “Rested XP” which gives you a significant chunk in per-game rewards. This XP is earned by simply not playing the game for a short time. This is what you see when your XP bar is striped rather than being a solid pinkish color. Each game you complete will shorten that bar, but will also naturally net you more XP, making it a nice reward for not just playing the game all day every day.
Now with that being said, don’t get any ideas about not playing the game for a while and then abusing the system for easy XP. This XP has a limit and naturally resets every day at 8 PM ET. Once it resets, you can earn that XP again and enjoy some nice side gains to your battle pass level. Sure, it’s not to the same level as daily and weekly challenges, but it’s a great boost for your level either way.
