Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded patch notes are here with big changes to the current weapons meta. That involves the nerf of the Kar98k that doesn’t affect the gameplay that much, a balance to FJX Horus, reviving a dead MW2 sniper rifle, and more. Let’s explore all the MW3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded weapons buffs and nerfs to decide which weapons we’d pick next after the mid-season update.
Kar98k Nerf, Explained
- Removed hip-fire aim assist properties for controller input devices.
- Decreased strength of ADS aim assist properties for controller input devices.
Honestly, this ain’t no bad news at all. The joy of a one-shot headshot is not removed from Warzone, and the weapon still kicks as heavy as it did before the update in MW3 Multiplayer. The nerf? Well, the hip fire and ADS aim assist are now dropped into the sniper rifle class category for the controller players, meaning that we don’t get that extra help from the game for super accurate shots with the Kar98k after the nerf.
FJX Horus Meta Is So Done
- Decreased maximum damage range from 15.2m to 13.7m (-10%).
- Decreased near-medium damage range from 25.4m to 22.9m (-10%).
- Decreased medium damage range from 33m to 29.7m (-10%).
- Decreased far-medium damage range from 40.6m to 36.6m (-10%).
- (JAK Scimitar Kit) Increased damage range benefits from 35% to 65%.
MW3 and Warzone Season 4 started with a long list of weapon buffs to the FJX Horus, putting this SMG above the meta Striker-9, Striker, and even WSP-9. However, this change is now adjusted with another long list of nerfs. FJX Horus is nowhere near the almighty Superi 46 or WSP-9 right now.
Lockwood MK2 JAK Wardens Kit, Balanced
- Increased sprint to fire speed from 35ms to 100ms (+186%).
- Decreased maximum damage range from 4.6m to 3m (-33%).
- Decreased near-medium damage range from 8.9m to 7.1m (-20%).
Before the whole MW3 Multiplayer lobbies turn into a JAK Wardens Lockwood contest, the nerf has arrived. The two-tap instakill range on this shotty weapon is now nerfed. However, there’s a supermassive buff for the shotgun masters: 186% buff to the sprint-to-fire speed! This means that you can shoot way faster than you used to after running and sliding towards the target. This is a huge weapon buff in MW3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.
Carrack .300 Marksman Rifle Update
- Increased maximum damage from 95 to 128 (+35%).
- Increased near-medium damage from 90 to 95 (+6%).
- Increased medium damage from 70 to 90 (+29%).
- Increased minimum damage from 60 to 70 (+17%).
- Decreased maximum damage range from 30.7m to 12.7m (-59%).
- Decreased near-medium damage range from 58.1m to 30.7m (-47%).
- Decreased medium damage range from 69.6m to 58.1m (-16%).
- Increased head and neck damage multiplier from 1.7x to 2.2x.
- Increased lower torso damage multiplier from 1x to 1.1x.
Since Carrack .300 could never compete with the MCPR and FJX Imperium in the sniper rifles class, they have decided to put it in the marksman rifles category; verbally. The Carrack can never do what Kar98k does, but the weapon delivers a two-shot kill guarantee to the upper body with semi-auto action in Warzone and MW3 Season 4 Reloaded. This is the closest experience to the broken two-shot MTZ Interceptor meta of the first MW3 seasons.
Bug Fixes
- Cor-45: Fixed an exploit allowing the Akimbo Rear Grip to be equipped.
- Fixed an issue causing Muzzle Attachment to unequip in gameplay.
Floating iron sights on the Kastov 762 and the sound of the Longbow reloading on the rifle; these bugs are always there due to the large portion of content that Call of Duty delivers each season. And every time the developers fix a bunch like the two above. The useless akimbo attachment for the Cor-45 is gone, and you can now fancy a muzzle on the JAK Jawbreaker KV Broadside if you use this gun.
Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone are currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
