With My Time at Sandrock’s Early Access release on May 26, many are eager to pick up the sequel to My Time at Portia. Whether you are familiar with Portia, you may already know that inventory management in video games is often crucial to success. Both My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock are no exception. Since you’ll gather tons of different resources throughout your playthrough, increasing your total inventory space will significantly help you with item organization and management later on. This guide will teach you how to increase your backpack inventory space in My Time at Sandrock Early Access.
How to Increase Inventory Space in My Time at Sandrock
To increase your inventory space in My Time at Sandrock, go into your inventory by pressing “B” on your keyboard. Go to the end of your inventory and click on the plus button that appears. A pop-up will show how much each new backpack slot costs. From here, you use the slider to decide how many inventory slots to unlock. As you purchase more backpack slots, they’ll become increasingly expensive. Below is a list of how much each slot costs and the price increase, excluding the reduction from the Storage Knowledge node:
Row | Page | Gols for each Slot | Total Gols (Entire Row) |
Last slot, Row three | One | 10 Gols | 10 Gols (x1 Slot) |
Fourth | One | 10 Gols | 100 Gols (x10 Slots) |
First | Two | 20 Gols | 200 Gols (x10 Slots) |
Second | Two | 50 Gols | 500 Gols (x10 Slots) |
Third | Two | 100 Gols | 1000 Gols (x10 Slots) |

My Time at Sandrock: How to Get Water
In My Time at Sandrock, since you choose the number of backpack spaces to buy at once, you do not need to purchase entire rows as you did in My Time at Portia. Instead, if you want to save money, you can buy one or two slots at a time and purchase more as needed. In contrast, if you have money to spare and want to purchase several rows at once, you can buy multiple rows at once.
My Time at Sandrock Early Access is available starting May 26, 2022, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
