Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the same-day English dub for the My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 anime. This story follows the light novel of the same name by Nazuna Miki and Subachi. Currently, MAHO Film is in charge of animating the series. Mike McFarland is directing the English dub. The anime will premiere on Saturday on Tokyo MC and BS NTV.

The English dub cast of My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 includes;
- Patrick Mealey as Ryota
- Kelsey Maher as Emily
- Trish Mellon as Eve
- Brittany Lauda as Erza
- Dusty Feeney as Olga
- Major Attawayy as Orton
- Kelly Greenshield as Eyna
Yuji Yanase is directing the series, with Yuka Yamada in charge of the composition. Ano Machi Kara is performing the opening theme song, “Chase Me.” At the same time, Airi Miyakawa is performing the ending song “The Tambourine Ringing Hill.”
Miki first debuted the series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro (Let’s Be Novelists) website in February 2017. Miki and Subachi launched the original light novel series in September 2017. Mawata’s manga adaptation debuted on Kodansha’s Suiyobi no Sirus website in May 2018. Currently, Kodansha USA is publishing the light novel series and the manga adaptation, with 1.1 million copies circulating.
The Story So Far
The company describes the story as follows;
“Ryota Sato gets the surprise of his life when he’s suddenly transported to another world. Immediately, he nearly gets clobbered at the hands of a young, pretty adventurer named Emily Brown. The new world revolves around defeating monsters and profiting from whatever they drop- food, money, items, etc. Unfortunately for Ryota, he has no skills whatsoever… until he learns he has the ability to get rare drops! Suddenly, his luck turns around… or does it?”
This follows the trend of anime studios producing at least one new Isekai (‘in another world’) anime each season. Isekai has proved itself to be a very popular genre with different authors putting their own spin on the cliche. Other notable isekai titles include Konosuba, Reincarnated as a Vending Machine, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
The My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 anime will be available to stream on Crunchyroll on July 8th.
