LeBron James is currently 39 years old and playing in his 22nd NBA season. However, despite those facts, James is still putting up monster numbers. The Los Angeles Lakers have been playing pretty poor basketball as of late. This has led other NBA teams and fans to monitor some situations of star players to see if they are unhappy with their current teams. The Golden State Warriors are no different than those teams and fans. Now, they have their eyes on LeBron James as well as another star, the Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler.
Sports Illustrated reports that The Golden State Warriors are hoping to place one or more star players next to Steph Curry. Curry has been able to lead the Warriors to four NBA championships. However, it was never alone. Placing LeBron James and or Jimmy Butler next to a player of Curry’s caliber could be electric for the Bay Area. However, while some may believe this will never happen, some think that James and Butler are “both preparing to move on” from their current teams.

Those same fans then took to social media to discuss what may be to come.
“Get Bron on the Warriors,” one said.
“Lakers’ future is on hold until Lebron is gone,” wrote another.
Finally, one other basketball fan stated, “Jimmy Butler isn’t a star,“
It would seem as though there are some mixed feelings about this whole situation.
Jimmy Butler has been the type of player to bounce around a few teams before really finding a home in Miami. However, despite the Heat making the NBA Finals and winning a few more playoff series, they just feel stuck. Moving on from Butler could open opportunities for Tyler Hero to grow into a first option. Instead of the young man being stuck behind Butler.
As for the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron is not getting any younger. In fact, his career is coming to an end soon. James did recently sign a two-year contract extension with the team last offseason. However, there is a player option after the first season. If James requests a trade, the team has already stated that they will cooperate with LBJ. Trading Bron now instead of possibly letting him walk next season would not be too terrible of a move for a team that might need to rebuild.
LeBron James and Jimmy Butler are two amazing talents in the NBA. Almost every team would love to have James play for them, and the same goes for Butler. However, these are just rumors for now. There have been no official talks of a LeBron or Jimmy trade just yet. Nevertheless, is the NBA about to look different soon? Fans are dying to know.
