But in 2018, everything changed when Zolciak showed support for Leakes during a tough time. Now, Leakes is returning the favor. Recently, she noted that she reached out to her colleague amid the Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann divorce drama.

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak may seem to be friends now, but there was a time the pair were sworn enemies. Their acrimony began on RHOA Season 1 when Leakes shared her disapproval of Zolciak dating a man rumored to be married. Sadly, as the years progressed, things got worse between the duo. But after years of bitter feud, the pair seemingly settled their differences in 2018. At the time, Zolciak sent a package to her colleague after the latter revealed her husband Gregg was battling cancer. Three years later, Gregg passed away, and Zolciak reached out to a devastated Leakes.
Two years later, Zolciak is now facing difficult times, as her marriage to Biermann has collapsed. But amid the Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann divorce drama, Leakes has reached out to her friend. While shopping in Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, the 55-year-old told TMZ that returning the favor was the right thing to do. Regarding how Zolciak was doing, Leakes told the outlet it was hard to say. However, the actress said she would like to think her colleague was taking it too hard. According to Leakes, divorce wasn’t easy, especially with children involved.
Inside Zolciak and Biermann’s Divorce
NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak’s recent chat comes nearly two months after the latter filed for a divorce. Before the split, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann were married for 11 years and shared four kids. According to court documents, the pair’s date of separation was listed as April 30, 2023. In the filing, Zolciak described her marriage as “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” She also sought primary physical custody and joint legal custody of their children.
Zolciak also asked for spousal support and the restoration of her maiden name. Since the television personality filed for divorce, things have only gotten messier between the duo. In June, Zolciak called the police on her estranged husband. According to reports, she accused Biermann of threatening to file a kidnapping report on a family friend who took their child to a rodeo. It is unknown how the situation eventually panned out, but from the look of things, it might get worse in the coming months.
