We’ve got great news if you’re a fan of the hit anthology series Love, Death + Robots! Recently, Netflix teased fans with updates for the highly anticipated Love, Death + Robots Volume 3. Netflix appeased fans with new visuals on social media, a teaser trailer, and the announcement of Volume 3’s official premiere date: May 20th.
What Is Love, Death & Robots?
Love Death + Robots is an award-winning animated Netflix original series created by Tim Miller, the same director who brought you Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate. The animated anthology is known for its breathtaking visuals, cutting-edge special effects, and supreme storytelling, earning the show 11 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Love, Death + Robots marries horror, comedy, fantasy, and sci-fi into a collection of shorts similar to Netflix’s Black Mirror. Among its highest-rated episodes are The Witness, Sucker for Souls, Ice, and Snow In The Desert, all of which earned Emmy Awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation.
Gamers may recognize the voice of some of the actors who have lent their voices to the show, including Nolan North (Uncharted series), Scott Whyte (Triangle Strategy), and Emily O’Brien (Death Stranding). Similarly, fans of motion pictures can appreciate the appearance of guest stars like Michael B Jordan (Black Panther), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Birds of Prey), and Samira Wiley (The Handmaid’s Tale).
Now on its 3rd season, Love Death + Robots has grown exponentially since its 2019 premiere and is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows on Netflix.
What We Know About Volume 3 So Far
Love Death + Robots Volume 3 will reportedly feature 8 episodes, unlike Volume 1, which had 18. Research suggests that at least two of the episodes of Volume 3 will be sequels to stories from season 1, a first for the mature-rated anthology series. A recent tweet by Netflix Geeked featuring a photo of the smiling robot K-VRC confirms that one of the sequels will be a continuum to season 1’s Three Robots.
