CD Projekt Red has released a new 14-minute gameplay demo of their highly anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077. In this new demo (which you can see below), CD Projekt Red showcased the different playstyles available in the title. These ranged from being a stealthy assassin, using skills effectively to take down your foes, to going in all guns blazing.
The gameplay starts in an alternative world (think Ready Player One perhaps), where V has connected to the BBS, data fortress. The scene of V in the ice bath (showcased in the E3 2019 trailer), which he/she sits in to be connected to this world is also showcased in this deep-dive demo. We continue with the district of Pacifica, one of the six main districts that are in Cyberpunk 2077. Pacifica is the most hostile district in the game. Taking just a ‘casual walk’ is not advised, and the district is dogged of gangs. The deep-dive also touched on small story elements and the lore in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
After the showcase, Hollie Bennet, CD Projekt Red’s UK Head of Communication was joined by developers from the Cyberpunk team including Miles Tost (Senior Level Designer), Pawel Sasko (Lead Quest Designer), and Philipp Weber (Quest Design Coordinator). The team answered some of the burning questions surrounding the game, whilst also keeping the wraps on large portions. And no, Keanu Reeves was not discussed!
We don’t have too long to wait for Cyberpunk 2077. The game releases on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on April 16, 2020. The Google Stadia version will release at a later date in 2020.
