The PlayStation official website has released a Blog post talking about the Dead Space Remake. The post goes into details about the various new features coming to the updated version. Along with this post, the Dead Space official YouTube channel released a gameplay video to demonstrate these new features within the game.
Dead Space Remake Features
One of the biggest editions to the Dead Space Remake is that the protagonist Isaac Clarke will be fully voiced this time around. He will now yell to his teammates when he sees them in trouble, for example. This will give him feel much more active within the story and make the game feel more authentic.
Another huge feature being added is what is called Interactive Immersion. Fans of 2018’s God of War will be familiar with this feature, which removes all the loading screens when moving between areas and chapters in the game. This makes the remake feel like it is in one continuous shot, making everything feel more immersive and connected.
Something fans of the original Dead Space will enjoy is the new freedom to Zero-G. In the original game, would simply leap across platforms using special boots. The remake will now grant him a propulsion boost, allowing him to freely float and move in 360 degrees.
There are many other features being added to the upcoming Dead Space remake. Some other additions include changing and enhancing certain parts of the story to make the game more immersive, adding items and a new side quest to encourage more exploring, and Intensity Director to keep players on their toes, and new upgrades for weapons.
Afterwards, the post also goes through some enhancements being made. The Dead Space Remake will have things like massively improved visuals, smoother gameplay, and more.
The Dead Space Remake will be released on January 27, 2023 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. With all the gameplay features being added to this release, fans will have a lot to look forward to as they experience this story again.
