Weaponsmithing Leveling in New World
To efficiently level Weaponsmithing in New World, players need to focus on crafting low-tier items and weapons for effective XP gain. Unless the player wants a specific weapon type, they shouldn’t bother mass crafting higher-tier gear, as that will cost more time and more resources.Â

This “mass-crafting method” in New World is suitable for “gray-color” weapons in the Forge’s menu. Other colored items, such as green, blue, or purple, come in fixed stats, meaning they are better equipment but are much more costly to make. One of the best early items for leveling Weaponsmithing in New World is the Weak Honing Stone. Players can craft this consumable using the following materials.
- Stone Block x 1
- Death Mote x 1
- Fire Mote x 1
The Weak Honing Stone’s crafting resources can be easily farmed within New World‘s beginner zones such as Windsward or Cutlass Keys. Players who have lots of iron can mass-craft low-tier weapons like the Iron Rapier. Remember that crafting the low-tier gear is the most efficient in terms of gaining XP. The higher-tier equipment should only be forged if New World players need them for a specific use, but not for leveling Weaponsmithing. There are also special foods players can cook in New World for providing Weaponsmithing food buffs, such as Roasted or Steamed Broccoli.
New World is available on PC.
