A brand-new character spotlight for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is showing off Reptar’s new moves. The sole representative of Nickelodeon’s Rugrats, Reptar the Dinosaur made his debut as a heavy-hitter in the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl back in 2021. The newest character spotlight for All-Star Brawl 2, released two weeks from launch, shows off some of Reptar’s changes for the new game. Though he hasn’t changed all that much – how much can you really improve on a fire-breathing dinosaur? – some of the new additions hold a lot of potential for Reptar’s performance in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.
New Character Spotlight Debuts Reptar’s Flame Meter, Super Move and More
After the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl debuted in 2021, Reptar quickly gained a reputation as a heavy fighter. Similar to King Deedee or Bowser from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Reptar packed a powerful punch, but he was also slow as a result. According to the new character spotlight, that much hasn’t changed, but some of Reptar’s moves have gotten some new heat.
One of the changes showcased in the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 character spotlight is Reptar’s Flame Meter. Some of Reptar’s special attacks, like his Down Special, use his flame breath. While these attacks are more powerful, they steadily deplete his Flame Meter. Thankfully, the meter slowly refills as you use Reptar’s non-special moves, so you just have to let him take a breather now and then. Like in the first game, Reptar’s flame-breath moves are useful for knocking back opponents or doing ranged damage.
The new character spotlight also showed off Reptar’s Super move, which looks like a Godzilla parody as he stomps through a burning city. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about that particular move, but it should be fun for monster movie fans. If you’re a fan of Reptar’s new moves or just Reptar himself, be sure to check out Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 when it releases on November 7th.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will be available for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
