When the two accomplished actresses stepped out at the same Balenciaga fashion sho in Paris, it seems that things may have gotten tense between them. Although the show happened last month, new video reveals a tense moment between the to stars as they posed for photos together on the red carpet. The moment didn’t end well after Kidman seemingly pushed Hayek away.
In the video, Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek are seen with singer Katy Perry as they pose for photos in front of several photographers. Kidman seems to grow tired of the photographs and tries to slip out of the shots as the paparazzi yell for more snaps. When Hayek tries to turn Kidman around for photos on the opposite side, she puts her hands on her waist in what seems to be an attempt to position her for the picture, per In Touch Weekly.
However, Kidman doesn’t look interested in taking any more photos. The two women exchange words before Kidman grabs Hayek’s hand and pushes it away from her. The Practical Magic star then shared some words with Katy Perry before turning back to Hayek and speaking briefly with her again. She then walked away from the situation, leaving Salma and Katy to pose on their own.

Some fans believe that Kidman may have said “don’t touch me” to Hayek. However, that hasn’t been confirmed. In the clip, Hayek seems to say, “Yes, please. Advice.” to Kidman as she’s walking away. “You don’t need it,” the actress replies. “I do,” Hayek added.
Both women looked stunning during the appearance. Kidman sported a black turtleneck dress with long sleeves. She added a pair of sheer tights, stiletto heels, and dark sunglasses to the ensemble. She also carried a black leather handbag and wore rings on both hands. Meanwhile, Hayek donned a black dress of her own that showed off more skin with its deep neckline.
Of course, fans had plenty to say about the encounter. Some blamed Kidman, while others reprimanded Hayek for the behavior. However, some claimed that the situation wasn’t as dire as the media played it out to be.
“That seemed like shade. Nicole was in a reprimanding mood and Salma said the advice snip and Nicole wanted that last word,” one person commented on Reddit.
“I get that Salma was probably trying to direct her to pose for the cameras, but some people don’t like to be touched regardless of the situation and you just gotta respect that,” said another.
“She could get that message across without being rude,” one person stated.
“There is no world where Salma deserves this,” a fourth comment read.

Neither Nicole Kidman nor Salma Hayek have spoken about the encounter publicly. It seems that they’re both letting it fade away. Although, it will be interesting to see what happens when and if they pose together again in the future.
