This morning, in addition to a lot of exciting news, Nintendo has announced a new DLC for Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical role-playing game taking place on the war-torn continent of Fódlan. You play as a tutor and a former mercenary, and you must choose a nation to support in the war. So there are many turn-based battles, but much of the game is concerned with building social relationships with your students via actions and dialogue. The game’s already packed full of stuff to do.

However, the DLC, titled Wave 4, is loaded with a bunch of new content. The expansion will cover the Cindered Shadows storyline, which takes place in a new location called the Abyss. The Abyss can be found beneath Garreg Mach.

It is in this new location that players will find one of the more exciting aspects of this DLC: a secret fourth house called the Ashen Wolves. That’s right, Fire Emblem: Three Houses officially has four houses with this new expansion.

New characters – Yuri, Hapi, Constance, and Balthus – will make their debut as students of the Ashen Wolves. If you finish the DLC, you can recruit each one of these characters and incorporate them into the main story.

In addition to all this, the Wave 4 DLC adds new activities, quests, classes, and paralogues to the game.

Players wh0 have purchased the Fire Emblem: Three Houses’ Expansion Pass will have access to the DLC on February 12, 2020. But you cannot buy Wave 4 as a single unit of DLC – you must purchase the Expansion Pass to access any additional content. The Expansion Pass costs $24.99.

In other news, Byleth, the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, is joining the already massive roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This finishes up the games first Fighter Pass, but there is a Volume 2 on the way.

Are you excited for the Wave 4 DLC? Furthermore, what are your thoughts on Fire Emblem: Three Houses? Let us know in the comments below!
