Mario and company are packing their bags and hitting the road this fall! The global gaming powerhouse Nintendo will showcase select titles for the Switch console at different colleges. In addition, students will be able to participate for free!
Nintendo Brings the Party to Students
The Nintendo Switch: Together Tour brings the Switch console to different campuses in the form of kiosks. This open-for-everyone event will allow students who may not be able to leave their dorms very often to play renowned games. Games set to appear are the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Maker 2. Furthermore, for those of you who like all-out parties with multiple players, Mario and the gang have you covered! Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Party, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will send everybody reeling with zany and hilarious matches.
Along with the games, Nintendo is offering more to attendees, including giveaways and photo opportunities. While it is unclear what a photo opportunity would look like (my guess is a picture while wearing a Mario hat or Donkey Kong’s tie), students will receive a $10 coupon. This can be used on any Nintendo purchase over $75, which can go a long way for those who enjoy the Switch and want one for themselves. Anybody who plans to attend can find tour dates/locations and pre-register for the event on Nintendo’s website. Those who do so will receive a QR code that they can scan at the event for a giveaway item (while supplies last).
The Nintendo Switch: Together Tour will begin on September 30 and run through November 21. More locations may be added at a later date so keep an eye out! Will you be checking out the games at the event? If so, which one do you want to play the most? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
