A message allegedly sent by a North Carolina parent is drawing attention online after it was reportedly delivered to the wrong person. The letter, which included unusual claims about what was mailed along with it, quickly spread after a Reddit user said they received it by mistake.
A photo of the letter was posted to r/mildlyinfuriating, where it was taken down less than an hour after posting. In the now-deleted post’s description, the letter’s recipient, scottinthehousse, claimed they were also a parent. They couldn’t imagine why the anti-MAGA sender would even send them such vitriolic mail with disturbing pieces of clothing to the “wrong person,” since they weren’t a fan of “Trump’s America” either.
The letter went over the controversial topics of President Trump and underage minors, along with accusations against Republicans for committing the same. That said, the alleged parent claimed they had sent a piece of their daughter’s stockings to “appease” the recipient, whom they believed to be a Trump supporter, from “attacking a child.”
Hundreds of Redditors Condemn the Anti-MAGA Parents’ Behavior
Even though it was only up for less than an hour, the Reddit post accumulated hundreds of upvotes and over a hundred comments, many of which were remarks condemning the anti-MAGA parent. “It’s a typical deranged liberal,” wrote a commenter. “There’s nothing typical about this insanity,” responded another. Another said they couldn’t believe what they were reading: “This is so messed up.”
Some Redditors used this letter as an example that there can be irrational behavior from any political party. “[Is this] Proof that going off the deep end is across the spectrum?” questions one person. “There are crazies on both sides of the spectrum,” adds a second. A third accused the parent of indirectly abusing their own child: “If what he attached really is what he said it is, I’d call that child abuse in and of itself.”
The online reaction to this North Carolina parent’s anti-MAGA letter and its concerning contents shows how plenty of people will not support any unhinged behavior, regardless of political standing.
