Some days in the workplace, you gotta think on your feet. For one FedEx driver in Georgia, that meant jumping unexpectedly into a customer’s pool – and handling it with more grace than most people manage on dry land.
You can see the moment where he steps onto the inflatable pool in the home surveillance recording shared by the X account @ExxAlerts. He appears to be checking his delivery details on his phone when he suddenly steps backward and falls straight into a giant kids’ pool on the lawn while a trampoline is nearby.
He lost his balance instantly, going down with a splash big enough to send water flying across the yard.
What happens next is what made the clip explode. Rather than panicking and flailing in embarrassment, the driver calmly emerged from the water, gave himself a quick shake, checked his phone once more, and made his way back to the truck as though nothing had just happened.
Per the caption on the X post, the homeowner, Lyndsey DeLitta, who was watching the footage remotely from work, said the driver could be heard saying something along the lines of “I needed that” as he collected himself.
Georgia summers are brutal, and viewers online were all too happy to suggest that a dip in a kiddie pool is always an option to help survive a blazing shift.
Internet Reacts to Georgia FedEx Driver’s Pool Tumble
Reaction to the clip has been overwhelmingly good-natured, with most commenters siding with the driver rather than laughing at his expense.
Several people took his “I needed that” line at face value. One commenter wrote, “If he said he needed it i believe it.” Another pointed to the Georgia heat as justification: “This is Georgia man. If it’s a hot day out there, yeah, he really did need that. He’ll dry off in no time.”
Others focused less on the fall and more on his recovery. One viewer said, “the little pause before he gets back to work like nothing happened is sending me.” A third commenter kept it simple: “Atleast he cooled down.”
A few more echoed the same sentiment about the heat making the accident feel more like a perk than a mishap, with one writing, “If it was a really hot day, i wouldn’t be mad at all lmao.”
In a time when most driver videos are about fighting or crashing into things, this has to be by far one of the funniest videos of someone taking an accidental swim before getting back on the job.
