Taylor Swift fans know that the singer goes into fangirl shock whenever she thinks about her ultimate boyband crush, NSYNC. So, to see that one member of the popular band was in full-on Taylor Swift fangirl mode during her recent Eras Tour concert has to be a dream come true for the superstar.
During the 2023 MTV Awards Shake It Off, hitmaker Taylor Swift lost her mind when 90s boyband NSYNC reunited on the stage to present her with the Best Pop Video Award. JC Chasez reminisced, telling the audience that it was 20 years ago when NSYNC won their very first MTV Best Pop Video Award for Bye Bye Bye and how it meant the world to them.
When the band called out Taylor Swift’s name as the 2023 MTV Best Pop Video winner for Anti-Hero, Taylor freaked out. She was overwhelmed by the award and couldn’t believe her idols, NSYNC, were on stage with her.
The respect was mutual, and Lance Bass even handed the pop princess friendship bracelets and her Moonman trophy. Taylor admitted she was shaken and wanted to know if NSYNC would soon do something together. It was all very sweet, but now, one year later, it looks like one of the NSYNC members has returned the fangirl moment himself.
NSYNC Member Joey Fatone Loses Control During Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert
NSYNC member Joey Fatone shared on his Instagram account a video of himself going absolutely crazy during a recent Taylor Swift concert. The boy bander is seen dancing about wearing numerous friendship bracelets and singing at the top of his lungs to his favorite Taylor Swift hits.
Of course, fans in the audience were also over the moon by Joey Fatone’s appearance at Taylor’s show. Joey’s comment section blew up once he uploaded the video, which he captioned, “I Made It! I Am Here!”
“I hope she knows you’re there. She’d pass out from excitement,” writes one excited fan. Another adds, “Imagine being Joey Fatone from * NSYNC fangirling Taylor Swift.”
“Joey with the friendship bracelets, we love to see it,” writes a third. “So excited for you!!! But also… when’s NSYNC going on tour?! You know we’ll all show up and Taylor too!!‘ exclaims another fan. “Better yet how about a joint tour NSYNC and Taylor Swift! Imagine the hype!”
While it is unclear if Taylor Swift knew of NYSYNC star Joey Fantone’s presence in the audience, he likely made it backstage to meet with Taylor after the concert. It was quite a big night in Indianapolis for Taylor. Not only did one of her idols attend, but her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, also surprised his girl by showing up unexpectedly.
As for the fan who wants an NSYNC /Taylor Swift joint concert tour, fans agree it would be amazing. However, fans will have to wait a little longer, according to Joey Fatone. The NSYNC member states that everyone has yet to meet to discuss the possibility of a reunion.
However, he hopes that he, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick will soon get together to hopefully iron out the details. So stay tuned.
