The second episode of The Owl House season 3, For the Future, has finally received its first trailer, and there is a bit to unpack.
The trailer offers a glimpse at what has been going on in the Demon Realm since Luz and the gang were pushed back into the human world by King in the finale of season 2.
While much of the world seems to be the same visually, The Collecter has changed much of what Luz and the gang have come to know. A short ‘story’ read by King seems to imply that The Collecter is an entity that, due to its immortality, seeks to ‘preserve’ the world in a certain way. It is possible this will be elaborated on in the episode.
The trailer shows short glimpses of characters such as Eda, King, and the various Coven Heads. It also heavily implies that Emporer Belos will play a key role in the episode.
Disney released a short clip of For the Future a little over a week ago, showcasing Luz and Amity in the remnants of the Owl House. Various released screenshots also imply that Luz’s Palismen will finally hatch from its egg in this episode.
The episode is rumored to be around 48 minutes long and will be the second to last episode for season 3 of The Owl House. The final episode, rumored to be called Watching and Dreaming, currently does not have an air date. However, it is speculated that it will air sometime in April 2023.
For the Future will officially premiere on Disney Channel on January 21, 2023, at 9 PM ET and will be released fully on YouTube at 10 PM PT.
