Cleveland, Ohio, is as big of a sports-loving city as any other in the United States. However, after the Cleveland Browns fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL’s week one, tensions were a little high. In a recent TikTok video posted by the account @636Killaa, two men on motorcycles are seen at a stoplight in the city of Cleveland. The clip lasts about half a minute, but there is a lot to unpack. As pedestrians begin to run and scream around the two bikers, gunshots can be heard in the distance.
In the TikTok, viewers can see the people around the Ohio bikers literally running for their lives as gunfire begins to ring out through the streets of Cleveland. However, the bikers were unfazed. While everyone else was running and screaming, the two men sat on their motorcycles, not even batting an eye. As the video goes on, the streets around the bikers remain empty as the two men just sit there listening to their radios. Finally, another biker pulls up, and one of the other men tells them to wait. The video then cuts off, with all three bikers waiting in the street.
Ohio Sports Fans Run With Fear After Shots Fired In Cleveland
It is unknown what caused the altercation, although there are theories. Since the shooting took place shortly after the Browns lost to the Bengals, many believe trash talk was the cause of this tragedy. Cleveland and Cincinnati have a very long sports rivalry. However, there is no room for something like this anywhere, and certainly not in sports. At the end of the day, it’s only a Football game, despite what anyone says.
The Cleveland Browns have been the laughing stock of not only Ohio sports but the entire sports world. Always coming up with new and humiliating ways to lose games, and never being able to lock down a consistent starting quarterback will do that to a franchise, though. The Browns came incredibly close to taking down Cincy in week one, if it wasn’t for their rookie kicker missing an extra point, as well as the go-ahead field goal. However, in the most Cleveland fashion, Browns fans walked out of the stadium with a loss. “It was tense down there today,” one TikTok comment read.
Ohio sports fans are certainly thinking of those affected by this senseless act of violence. Although the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals may be sworn enemies, they all share a similar love for sports. Hopefully, those responsible are brought to justice swiftly and efficiently.
