Believe it or not, it’s been one year since we got one of the most refreshing survival-crafting experiences out there. Yes. Enshrouded has reached the one-year milestone since it was released on early access, and the game has grown considerably with a plethora of updates, QoL changes, and many more. Yet, Keen Games isn’t done with it. Enshrouded is getting its Update 5 and has finally unveiled its plans for the 1.0 release through the packed 2025 roadmap. So, if you’ve been away from the Shroud, now’s the best time to jump back into it again.
Enshrouded Update 5: Pact of the Flame Available Now
Update 5, also known as Pact of the Flame, is the new major update coming to Enshrouded that focuses on social features. Players can enjoy in-game chat for multiplayer mode. Voice chat that features proximity, server-wide, and global options. Emotes. First-person camera for building. And over 70 new items for players to build, including some Serpent-themed items to celebrate the New Lunar Year. As in previous updates, players can grab all of these things for free and a few more surprises once they jump back into their worlds.
Enshrouded Launches Its Roadmap for 2025, Details 1.0 Launch Plans
However, this update is just one of the many things Keen Games has in store for Enshrouded, and the 2025 roadmap shows the studio is bringing out the big guns. First, let’s tackle the important topic: 1.0 release date. While there isn’t an exact date yet, Keen Games is aiming for Spring 2026. We’re still a year away from that, but it is great that the studio already has a goal in mind to launch the game in its full state. Yet, there will be many more things coming while we wait for 1.0.
As you can see in the roadmap, 2025 will bring a lot of improvements to Enshrouded. Some of them include new biomes, coloring stations, a barber NPC, enemy patrols, new weapon types, a jukebox, and much more. The dates of when these additions will arrive are also uncertain, but with the studio’s track record, we know 2025 will be a busy year for Enshrouded, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Reminiscing One Year of Early Access
Last but not least, Keen Games also wanted to share a video celebrating one year since Enshrouded launched in early access. The video showcases many of the players’ adventures and misadventures, buildings, and just the amazing time they’ve had while surrounded by the Shroud. In truth, it is an excellent way to celebrate a terrific survival-crafting game, and we can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
In the meantime, remember you can try Update 5 now and keep helping the developers with early access feedback. Ultimately, everything helps to keep making Enshrouded one of the most memorable games in the genre, and it seems it will only get better, according to the 2025 roadmap.
