In the past, way back in the past, microtransactions were something that we should didn’t hear about. We just fired up a game and enjoy all of its content. No need to unlock anything by paying. But, nowadays, almost all games have them. Overwatch is by no means an exception. Overwatch 2 microtransactions have been a hot topic for some weeks now. Given how the game is now free-to-play, the company still needs to make some cash from it. And we can say that the game doesn’t have the friendliest prices when it comes to unlocking things. Yet, it would seem that Activision-Blizzard is already asking players about their thoughts on the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass and microtransactions.
Players are getting surveys asking their opinion on Overwatch 2 Microtransactions
Whenever we get an email containing a survey from a game, it is safe to say that it might be the first step into changing things. People haven’t been too happy when it comes to the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass and the small amount of experience they get per match. Finishing the Battle Pass takes a lot of time unless you’ve bought the premium one. And the other thing is that the Overwatch 2 microtransactions we’ve seen aren’t that great, either.

Some people have already said that it would take a lot of money to unlock all the previous skins that came with loot boxes. Some players are even asking the company to bring loot boxes back instead of the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass. However, we don’t think that might happen. Yet, with this survey, we can only hope that the company is working on improving the Overwatch 2 Microtransactions to make them friendlier and not too aggressive. Besides that, they still have their hands full. With a plethora of bugs, glitches, and some other funny mistakes, like a character’s hands being too big, Blizzard sure has a lot of work. Still, that hasn’t stopped players from jumping into the Halloween event and playing to get new skins. So, only time will tell, but we really hope that Overwatch 2 improves soon.
