The launch of Overwatch 2 has been anything but stable, as the game is loaded with server issues and bugs, and the recent “Bastion Glitch” has further made players’ experience miserable. For those unaware, the Bastion Glitch is a bug that enables the Hero Bastion to spam its Ultimate Configuration: Artillery. By default, Artillery can only fire three large AoE missiles at enemy targets. However, the Bastion Glitch breaks this restriction, allowing users to rain as many missiles as they wish upon their foes. As a result, this Ultimate bug in Overwatch 2 is a significant advantage to one’s party but a devastating travesty to those on the opposing team.
Using the Bastion Glitch in Overwatch 2
To use the Bastion Glitch in Overwatch 2, players must first activate Bastion’s Ultimate once it is fully charged. After Configuration: Artillery’s activation, the player camera will change to the overhead view. Fire two missiles, but before releasing the final one, press the Attack and Ultimate buttons at the same time, which will cause Artillery to fire endlessly.

Since its discovery, this broken glitch in Overwatch 2 has been observed and experienced by many in the community. Those looking for gameplay footage clearly presenting this bug can refer to YouTuber Ports‘ channel, which showcases how the Bastion Glitch can be utilized in the Training Area. First, this player charged up their Ultimate by defeating several training dummies. Next, they activated their Ultimate, causing Bastion to transform into its immobile missile launcher form. After firing the first two shots, they began spamming the left mouse button and Q key (Attack and Ultimate) at the same time. The game will fail to register the third and final missile launch, enabling an endless barrage to be unleashed from above.
While many players are likely excited to use the Bastion Glitch in their PvP matches in Overwatch 2, it should be noted that this bug will likely get patched promptly by the developers. Additionally, those who plan to utilize this Ultimate bug to win games should be wary that their account could receive penalties for glitch exploitation. While no one has received a ban for this exploit, players should nevertheless use it at their own risk.
Overwatch 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
