In addition to the fascinating plot, Palia has many activities that will amuse you. It can be cooking, bug hunting, crafting, and, of course, fishing. Fish are a good source of Gold, but you also need to catch every type of fish to complete several achievements. However, since they all spawn in different bodies of water at different times, this can become a difficult challenge. Luckily, fish like Mudminnow can be caught any time of day in Palia, even without bait.
Where To Find Mudminnow
The developers spent a lot of time on fishing features in Palia. Even though there are just over 100 different fish in the game, you could spend an in-game week on this activity and still not catch every species. The rarest fish require certain conditions to be met, such as the right bait and time of day. But in the case of common fish in Palia, like Mudminnow, everything is much simpler.
So, to find Mudminnow in Palia, you just need to visit several ponds:
- Pond south of Tamala’s house (Bahari Bay)
- Pond near Hodari and Najuma’s House (Bahari Bay)
- Pond at Hideaway Bluffs (Bahari Bay)
- Pond south of The Outskirts (Bahari Bay)
- Pond near Ancient Aquaduct (Bahari Bay)
- Pond west of Daiya Family Farm (Kilima Village)
- Mirror Pond Ruins (Kilima Village)
You can come there as soon as you receive your Fishing Rod. You don’t even need to upgrade it. In addition, Mudminnow spawns at any time of the day, which makes the task much easier.
How To Catch Mudminnow
Although most fish in Palia require the use of a specific bait, this does not apply to Mudminnow. All you need to do is go to the pond and cast your fishing rod. Then, wait until the fish bites the hook. It seems that this fish likes hooks more than bait. Anyway, it works, and you will catch a lot of Mudminnow fish without any problems. It costs only 23 – 34 Gold, but by selling a few you can earn good money.
That’s all you need to know about how to find and catch Mudminnow in Palia. It is one of the easiest fish to catch, of course, if you know where it spawns. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get The Brightbug Bundle in Palia.
