If there’s one issue with the Nintendo Switch, for me it has to be the buttons on the Joycon, which is a problem as I exclusively play it undocked. It’s helpful when the other half has use of the TV and I don’t want to be antisocial and leave the room.
I’ve already had to replace the left joy-con with one that has a D-Pad as well as buying a wireless GameCube pad to play with when I use a stand. After today, it looks like I have another controller soon to join the party.
PDP have today announced their Afterglow Wireless Deluxe Controller and it looks magnificent. Featuring exclusive prismatic LED lighting options players are able to cycle through colors and pick their favorite.
Not only that, but it can also be set to change color with movements of the stick. I’m completely sold and I’m sure you will be too as soon as you cast eyes on this beauty:
Isn’t she a beaut? I’d also like to point out that this isn’t a sponsored article, we aren’t getting paid if you buy one of these. I just think it’s lovely and had to write about it. The fact that it is officially licensed by Nintendo is just the icing on the cake.
Should you be interested (of course you are) in one of these, they are available for pre-order now through Amazon or PDP and will release on November 26th at a cost of $49.99.
Featuring a range of 30 feet, motion controls, programable buttons and a battery life of 20 hours the whole package should be pretty good. Obviously, the proof is in the gameplay.
Should you not wish to wait or can’t stand wireless a wired version is available to purchase now. The Afterglow Deluxe + wired version has a reach of 10 feet with a detachable cord. This version will set you back $29.99.
What are your thoughts on this controller? Is it something that might tempt you or is the GameCube pad the undisputed King? Let us know in the comments and let us know how you play your Switch.
