Fans often have specific things they like to call their favorite celebrities, like referring to them as mom or dad. Throughout The Last of Us and The Mandalorian, fans have gone to the internet to call Pedro Pascal “daddy.” On an actor’s roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor opened up about this fans calling him this name, even though it seems he may not get the sexual nature of it all.
The roundtable consisted of Jeff Bridges, Kieran Culkin, The Mandalorian star, Michael Imperioli, Evan Peters, and Damson Idris. The conversation quickly turned into talking about how Pedro Pascal is the internet’s daddy while clarifying things for the other actors. Culkin that Idris is “husband,” and The Last of Us star is “daddy.” His response was that he, 48, is “old,” while Idris, 31, is “young.”While Culkin asked him if he would be his “daddy,” he was asked if he was having fun with it. Which he is.
“I am having fun with it. [The daddy thing] seems a little role-related. There was a period where the Mandalorian is very daddy to baby Grogu, and Joel is very daddy to Ellie. These are daddy parts.”
Pedro Pascal Does Enjoy Being the Internet’s Daddy
Before the conversation steered away, it did tap into the sexual nature of it. Culkin called himself “daddy,” saying how “nobody likes my daddy parts.” When the internet’s daddy responded, the Succession star said, “They like your daddy parts.”
While the actor takes the term literally, when going online, you will see some sexual mentions about this, similar to people being referred to as “mommy.” He has been asked to read thirsty tweets, which he has drawn the line on and refused to read. It has become a part of conversations regarding fan relationships with celebrities, creating an often uncomfortable situation for some actors. In some areas, things are not as over the line, with some actors owning how their fans perceive them. Earlier this year, Elizabeth Olsen owned being the “internet’s mom.”
