An Asian restaurant called Ninja Ramen in Pennsylvania was accused of racially profiling a Black streamer after he claimed he was ignored for about 30 minutes while inside the establishment.
The streamer was filming a video while visiting the restaurant to try it. When he entered, he greeted the staff and sat down, choosing a corner seat to respect other customers’ privacy. He later alleged that he was ignored for about ten minutes, claiming that no one came to give him a menu or take his order during that time.
Thinking that the staff might not have noticed him, the streamer moved to a different seat closer to them. He then alleged that he waited an additional 20 minutes, but still said no one brought him a menu or assisted him. He also pointed out that the restaurant appeared mostly empty at the time, suggesting there were few customers and implying the lack of service was not due to the staff being busy or overwhelmed.
While filming inside the restaurant, an employee walked past the streamer. He alleged that he was still ignored at that moment. The streamer also claimed that when other customers entered, they were immediately given menus. He later asked a staff member if they had a menu available. According to his account, the employee then placed the menu on his table in a way he described as being “thrown” rather than handed directly to him.
Due to the treatment he was receiving, the streamer ultimately left the restaurant without placing an order. “They didn’t even speak to me. [Expletive] kinda hurt a little bit,” he told his viewers while filming himself inside a car. He then added, “I have never been profiled before. I don’t think this was profiling. Y’all let me know in the comments. All I can say is this is the first time where I have been uncomfortable.”
Despite his final statement, the streamer later shared the video on Instagram and captioned it as an instance of racial profiling. He wrote, “Black streamer gets profiled at Ninja Ramen York, PA.” Many commenters under the post also agreed with his interpretation of the situation, saying they believed the treatment he described amounted to profiling, while others debated whether it was intentional discrimination or a misunderstanding in service.
In addition to what was written on top of the video, the streamer also clarified in the caption, “To be clear, I am not stating as fact that the restaurant profiled me. This post reflects my personal experience and how I felt during the interaction. I am not trying to attack the restaurant or encourage harassment. I’m simply sharing a moment from my day that was captured on stream and discussing why it left me feeling uncomfortable.”

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers were left outraged after seeing the treatment the Black streamer allegedly received at the Pennsylvania restaurant. Several commenters also believed he was racially profiled by staff. “This is how businesses act when they don’t want you to feel welcome. Never beg people to take your money. Get up and leave. There is nothing you can do to remedy the situation. Don’t waste time with bigots,” one person wrote.
Some people even suggested the alleged treatment was connected to broader conversations about boycotts of Asian establishments. “Oh they mad about that boycott. Yay us cause that kind of attitude helps us keep our ppl out of their establishments,” one person wrote. “Why is he going where he is not wanted? Black people need to develop some self-love,” another commenter added.
