One of the trademarks of the more recent Persona titles is the All-Out Attack: an attack that takes advantage of a knocked down enemy party by hauling off and laying down a massive physical attack on the entire enemy party. Trying to figure out when to do them in Persona 5 Strikers is a little difficult to figure out so we came up with this guide to help you lay the smackdown on your enemies.
Performing an All-Out Attack in Persona 5 Strikers
When you’re fighting, each enemy has a breaking point of sorts: how much that enemy can take before it’s knocked down. Once that enemy is knocked down, you get a visual prompt to perform the All-Out Attack but the enemy isn’t knocked down like in previous Persona 5 titles, by simply landing a critical strike or hitting an enemy’s weakness. Your enemy’s breaking point is represented by a gauge that resembles a shield near their health gauge that becomes depleted as you exploit their weaknesses, land critical blows, and make technical strikes. Some enemies are harder to knock down than others and that will be represented when they have multiple shields to break. Once that gauge is completely depleted, the enemy will be knocked down and you will be able to perform an All-Out Attack. If an All-Out Attack is performed on a special enemy or a boss character, the attack will have a special animation and, presumably, does more damage.
It seems to work, functionally, like it does in Persona 5 in that its effectiveness is derived from your party’s total physical strength with a weapon and has no attack properties that those weapons don’t have. Unless the enemies you’re facing have some kind of protection against physical attacks, you should almost always take every opportunity you can to pull off an All-Out Attack as they’re essentially a free hit that costs you absolutely nothing so keep your eyes peeled. It’ll be happening a lot if you’re paying attention.
