Pink Floyd Ninja Details Leak as Ed Boon Confirms Mortal Kombat 1 is far from ‘Dead’

“Will I remember the songs?”

One day a user asked Ed Boon whether he ever likes to create a new ninja in Mortal Kombat, and his response is a source of mystery these days in Mortal Kombat 1. A pink ninja named Floyd with unknown powers will spawn in a secret fight arena, or at least that’s what I was expecting from Mortal Kombat 1 and a recent leak doubles down on it. Oh, and MK1 is so not done after T-1000 joins the kombatants as a new DLC is confirmed by none other than Master Boon himself.

Floyd Is Confirmed, And His Moveset And Intro Is Leaked

Prominent Mortal Kombat leaker and dataminer, thethiny, has posted a deep info coverage of Floyd in Mortal Kombat 1, addressing his powers and how the ninja spawns. The user says that Floyd hints randomly appear in the middle of the match, and if you succeed, a Floyd guitar audio cue plays. The ninja laughs, and if you finish all cues, then the message “You Found Floyd” displays.

Now before Ed Boon confirmed the existence of the secret Floyd ninja (and then removed it) in Mortal Kombat 1 himself by quoting The Show Must Go On by Pink Floyd, we had seen the audio cue played in one of the Super’s streams. He shows this small detail in a video on X which is our first look at the recent mystery of MK1.

I'll start with everything I got and others tried:
1- First Hit
2- Fatality on First Conan Tower Match
3- Animality on 2nd Conan Tower Match
4- Brutality on 2nd Conan Tower Match
5- Block at the beginning of a versus match
6- Lose a versus match in the Wu Shi Academy

No one has found this ninja in the game yet, but thethiny has more datamined info to share with us. In his recent posts, he has leaked Floyd’s moveset in Mortal Kombat 1, which is showcasing a super strong character that we’ll probably lose fighting with. Rainbows, spears, ice, fire, teleportation, shadow clones, and a lot more. The pink ninja Floyd seems like the 3D era’s Shujinko in a sense right now, harnessing the powers of every single ninja in the Mortal Kombat 1.

Following the recent rumors, Mortal Kombat 1 was considered dead, until the Pro Kompetition Season 2 came along. No way WB is giving money for an MK tournament if Mortal Kombat 1 isn’t worth the shot to get future updates. The creator of Mortal Kombat has clarified this in a post, stating that they’re “trucking forward” with a future DLC.

Now that could only mean one thing: Kombat Pack 3. Cancelled? That’s why rumors should be taken with a grain of salt; a huge amount sometimes. But I think that’d be a far stretch if we get our hands on another story DLC for Mortal Kombat 1.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
