Playing Pokemon TCG Pocket With Marowak Ex Can Go Very Well or Very Bad: ‘50% of Marowak Players Quit Before Getting Double Heads’

Pokemon TCG Pocket is only a couple of weeks old, and the types of players are already evident. Among those who stand out the most from the community are, for example, gamers with Picachu Ex, Charizard EX, or Mewtwo Ex. However, they do not stand out positively, even though these Pokemon are some of the strongest decks out there. Yet, many hate playing against them because of how strong they are. There is another Pokemon TCG Pocket card with the same reputation but with a negative side: Marowak Ex. A match against a Marowak EX can be very easy or challenging, and it all depends on luck.

This Marowak Ex is one of the strongest Pokemon as it has 140 HP, and its Bonemerang Attack is devastating, mainly because it only needs two Energy. But this Marowak requires a lot of luck because its attack can do zero, 80, or even 160 damage depending on the result of throwing two coins. For this reason, several players are thrilled after defeating a Mewtwo Ex in only one turn after getting double heads. Or even those who use more turns and their Marowak does absolutely nothing, frustrating many trainers.

Other users gave their own advice on how they try not to rely so much on Marowak and what other cards in their deck are to carry the match. Some even prepare Marowak in case it’s necessary or to give the coup de grace, but it is not their first choice to attack.

Promo mankey and primeape is a must. Most of my wins were from primeape in the early game. 2 copies of each are a must and it’s what you want to start with, ideally starting second.
1 copy of hitmonlee that should stay in your hand until needed. The amount of times someone has retreated the last prize at below 30hp thinking they have the win with the ex they powered just up, has allowed me to drop, switch and seal the win away from them.
Melarowak ex is just the gamble that gives and takes, but is the wild card that MAY save you from a certain loss.

Even though playing these types of cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket, like Marowak or Dugtrio, relies on luck, remember that your cleverness and tactics are also very powerful parts of the formula. This is a game of strategy, after all, and there are plenty of creative ways to counter the variants in your deck with other Pokemon or Trainer cards.
