The PlayStation Now January 2022 line-up has been revealed by Sony. The games will be available for all PlayStation Now subscribers starting tomorrow, January 4. The games coming to the service are as follows:
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
- Fury Unleashed
- Unturned
- Super Time Force Ultra
- Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition
It looks to be a varied month for PlayStation Now selections. Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest in the fighting game franchise. There is an updated version of the game, Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, which includes all of the DLC and next-gen upgrades for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Presumably, the version of Mortal Kombat 11 included on PlayStation Now won’t include the upgrades for players on PlayStation 5.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is the PlayStation 4 high-definition remaster of Final Fantasy XII from the PlayStation 2. The remaster added trophy support, improved performance, and a remastered soundtrack along with the graphical improvements. It was well-received by fans and critics alike.
Fury Unleashed is an indie “roguelite action platformer” which is a combination of modern roguelites and “old-school platformer shooters like, like Contra and Metal Slug.” It’ll be a great addition to PlayStation Now.
Unturned is a zombie-infested open-world survival sandbox game from 505 Games who also recently published Control and Ghostrunner. It originally came to PlayStation in 2014.
Super Time Force Ultra is the updated version of Super Time Force which received rave reviews. The game is a time-traveling action platformer where players can rewind time to team up with past incarnations of themselves to beat the game.
Kerbal Space Program is one of the critical darlings of the last few years. The game lets players create their own ships and planes for space flight. The remarkable physics engine in the game provides a realistic experience of space flight, despite the fun-loving and cartoony Kerbals players send into space. Prepare to learn all about orbital maneuvering and space flight physics in this one.
All of the PlayStation Now games mentioned above will be available for subscribers as part of the January 2022 update starting from January 4.
