The season of showcases continues, and it is time for the State of Play of February 2026, which is one of the longest we’ve seen in a while. Many of us were expecting a few titles to appear, with some already confirmed in advance. However, there were many more surprises we did not expect. So, in case you missed it, or just want a summary of everything that was announced, here are all the major announcements from the recent State of Play.

Kena: Scars of Kosmora

Kena: Scars of Kosmora - Announce Trailer | PS5 Games

This State of Play started with a banger by showcasing the sequel to the beloved Kena: Bridge of Spirits. This time, Kena looks older and has stronger combat abilities, but a new adventure will send her back to fight dangerous enemies again. The good news is that the sequel will launch simultaneously on PS5 and PC in 2026.

Ghost of Yotei Legends Gets a Release Date

Ghost of Yōtei Legends - Release Date Trailer | PS5 Games

All of us knew Ghost of Yotei Legends would launch a bit after the base game launched, but we never thought it would land so soon. Today at the State of Play, we finally got the official release date of this co-op experience, its classes, and a few other surprises that keen-eyed gamers of the Ghost series will recognize. Ghost of Yotei Legends releases on March 10.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Lands on PC

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach - Announce Trailer | PC Games

One of the biggest surprises today was the PC release of Death Stranding 2, scheduled for March 19, 2026. We saw several features coming to this port, including uncapped framerate, widescreen support, and many other visual enhancements that will make this sequel look even better than it did at launch on PS5.

Pragmata Unveils New Footage

Pragmata - World View | PS5 Games

Many of us have been eagerly waiting for Pragmata ever since it finally confirmed its release date, and some of us have already played the demo extensively. To make the wait shorter, or longer depending on the hype you’re feeling, Pragmata now shows more gameplay, focusing primarily on its world and some of the locations we will visit in this unique adventure.

Resident Evil Requiem Shows More of Raccoon City

Resident Evil Requiem - 4th Trailer | PS5 Games

One of the games that is extremely close to launch is Resident Evil Requiem, and today we got an information bomb, mainly that our dear Leon S. Kennedy is infected with something, which has several of us worried. Additionally, we saw our hero arrive at the Raccoon Police Department, which brought back a wave of nostalgia.

Dead or Alive Brings a Double Surprise

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round - Announcement Trailer | PS5 Games

Koei Tecmo had two huge surprises for us, mainly of the Dead or Alive series. For starters, we got a new version called Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, which brings several characters, a lot of new content, but all the fighting fun we miss from the series. But that’s not all, because we also got a teaser of a new Dead or Alive title to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

Control Resonant Premieres New Gameplay

Control Resonant - Gameplay Reveal | PS5 Games

We already knew Control Resonant was coming this year, but we finally got an in-depth gameplay trailer, showcasing some map-bending mechanics, action-oriented combat, and some of the unique Control enemies, plus a few other entities that already look like they will be a big challenge.

Beast of Reincarnation Shows New Footage

Beast of Reincarnation - Release Date Announce Trailer | PS5 Games

GameFreak continues to surprise with Beast of Reincarnation, and this time, it showed us even more gameplay, which just showcases the studio’s real potential. Beyond the gameplay footage, we also saw a bit more of the overarching narrative, which confirms that this game will be one of the best we’ve seen from GameFreak.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer Shows Pod-Racing at Its Finest

Star Wars: Galactic Racer - Gameplay Trailer | PS5 Games

All of us saw the teaser trailer, but this State of Play finally debuted the gameplay trailer of Star Wars: Galactic Racer. On top of the stunning visuals, the actual racing systems and action look extremely similar to Burnout, which was not on our bingo card.

007 First Light Debuts Its Story Trailer

007 First Light - Story Trailer | PS5 Games

007 First Light is fast approaching, and we got a new trailer, this time showing us more about the plot, and not only of our beloved James Bond. Of course, we also got to see a bit of gameplay footage, which is clearly the evolution of the many things IO Interactive has done.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Announced

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2 - Announce Trailer | PS5 Games

After much waiting, Konami has finally announced the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol .2, which features Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The collection will launch on August 27, 2026.

Silent Hill Townfall Brings First-Person Horror

Silent Hill: Townfall - Reveal Trailer | PS5 Games

We all heard whispers through the fog about a new Silent Hill game, and its name is Townfall. This title appears to take the horror into a first-person perspective and will take place in a new location, similar to what Silent Hill f did. There aren’t a lot of details about this project yet, but we know it will launch this year.

New John Wick Game Announced

Untitled John Wick Game - Announce Trailer | PS5 Games

Another thing that was not on our bingo card was a new John Wick game. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding this game to the point that it doesn’t even have an official title yet. However, we know that the iconic gun-fu action is coming, as we also saw a glimpse of the gameplay, which looks like an actual John Wick film.

Marathon Confirms the Date for Its Preview Weekend

Marathon - Launch Gameplay Trailer | PS5 Games

All of us knew Marathon would be part of this State of Play, but we didn’t imagine it would finally announce its free Preview Weekend. It will run from February 26 to March 2, and it will bring several rewards to all players when the full game launches.

Saros Surprises With More Gameplay Mechanics

Saros - Gameplay Overview Trailer | PS5 Games

The bullet action of Housemarque is back with Saros, and we got a deeper look at its upgrades, skills, and how some of the abilities will work alongside each other. On top of that, we also got to see some new enemies and boss fights, and it’s already looking much more difficult than anything we saw in Returnal.

The X-Men Assemble in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls - Unbreakable X-Men Trailer | PS5 Games

One of the most beloved hero groups banded together in the latest trailer of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and we’re talking about none other than the X-Men. This time, Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger took the stage, showing us some deadly mutant combos. We also have a release date: August 6, 2026.

God of War Surprises With Three Remakes and Shadowdrops New Game

God of War Sons of Sparta - Reveal Trailer | PS5 Games

The latest and probably biggest surprise of this State of Play was not one, but two announcements of the legendary God of War series. First, we know the remakes of the original trilogy are coming. We didn’t get many details beyond the teaser. However, Sony shadowdropped God of War: Sons of Sparta, a story following a young Kratos, through beautiful 2D locations, which is new for the series.
